FAQ

Questions,
answered.

Common questions about our heat-treatment and material-testing services, our facility in Anand, and how we work.

What heat treatment services do you provide?

Met-Test Laboratories provides induction hardening, custom inductor manufacturing, hardening and tempering, controlled-atmosphere heat treatment, annealing, normalising, stress relieving, solution annealing, flame hardening and full material testing. All work is carried out at our facilities in V.U. Nagar, Anand, Gujarat.

Do you offer material and metal testing?

Yes. Our in-house metallurgical laboratory carries out hardness testing (Rockwell, Vickers, Brinell and digital), tensile and impact testing, metallography for grain structure and case-depth verification, and chemical composition analysis by optical emission spectrometry. Results are logged against the applicable standard.

Where are you located and which areas do you serve?

We are located at Plot No. C-1-10, Road No. B-10, G.I.D.C. Estate, V.U. Nagar (Vitthal Udyognagar), Anand, Gujarat 388121. We serve manufacturers across India, and the plant is close to the Anand, Vadodara and Ahmedabad industrial belts. Visits are by appointment.

What is induction hardening and when should it be used?

Induction hardening hardens only the surface that needs it; a bearing journal, a gear tooth, a shaft; while leaving the core tough and ductile. Because we design and build our own inductors in-house, the coil geometry is matched to your part, so case depth can be held to tight tolerances even on complex or asymmetric profiles.

Do you accept small quantities or prototype batches?

Yes. We handle everything from a single prototype to scheduled production runs, with no minimum order. The thermal cycle is built around your material and geometry rather than a fixed recipe.

Do you provide test certificates and traceability?

Yes. Our documented five-stage workflow runs from receipt and inspection through to certified dispatch, and every component leaves with full traceability. Test results are recorded against the applicable standard and provided with your job.

How quickly can you turn work around?

Turnaround depends on the component, the treatment and the batch size; standard components on a single furnace cycle are quickest, while larger batches or multi-cycle treatments take longer. Send us your part details and we will confirm a timeline; we respond to enquiries within one business day.

Which industries do you work with?

We process components for automotive, railway, oil and gas, power and energy, chain drive and general engineering manufacturers, applications where consistency and documentation matter.
