Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Met-Test Laboratories ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you visit mettestlab.com or contact us through this website. We are committed to handling your information in accordance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules.
1. What we collect
We only collect what you choose to give us. When you submit the enquiry form, we collect:
- Name and, optionally, your company name
- Phone number
- Email address (optional)
- The service you are interested in and any details you type in the message field
We do not ask for, and request that you do not send, sensitive information such as financial account numbers, government identifiers, or passwords through this form. When you browse the site, our hosting provider may automatically log technical data such as your IP address and browser type for security and reliability; we do not use this to identify you.
2. Why we use it
We use the information you submit for a single purpose: to respond to your enquiry and to discuss the heat-treatment or testing work you are asking about. This is a legitimate use directly connected to the request you make of us. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
3. Who processes and receives it
To operate the website and deliver your enquiry to us, your information passes through a small number of service providers:
- Formspree (United States) receives your form submission and forwards it to our email inbox. Your enquiry is therefore transferred to and processed on servers outside India.
- Cloudflare hosts and serves this website and may process technical connection data.
- Google Fonts is used to display the site's typefaces; loading these fonts sends your browser's IP address to Google.
The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 permits transfer of personal data outside India except to territories the Government may restrict; we make these transfers only to deliver the service you have asked for. We do not otherwise share your personal data with third parties, except where required by law.
4. How long we keep it
We keep your enquiry only as long as needed to respond to you and to maintain ordinary business records of the work discussed. When it is no longer needed, we delete it. You may ask us to delete your enquiry sooner — see "Your rights" below.
5. How we protect it
The website is served over encrypted HTTPS, and we apply reasonable security practices to protect the information you send us against unauthorised access, consistent with the IT Act's reasonable-security-practices requirement. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take these obligations seriously.
6. Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you have the right to:
- Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we have used it;
- Correct, complete, or update inaccurate data;
- Erase your personal data where it is no longer needed;
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on your consent;
- Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity;
- Grievance redressal — raise a concern with us and, if unsatisfied, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below.
7. Cookies and tracking
This website does not set advertising or analytics cookies and does not track you across other sites. Only the technical requests described above (hosting and fonts) are made when a page loads.
